Dr. Nicholas Panomitros is a highly experienced and passionate dentist with over 37 years of clinical experience. Dr. Panomitros graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry in 1989 with a degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery, and has dedicated his career in private-practice ever since. He takes pride in helping his loyal patients achieve excellent oral health and confident smiles, as his primary goal is for them to feel and look good. Dr. Panomitros’ excellence in patient care and clinical expertise has been awarded with the Illinois Top Doctor Award, as he provides a modern and advanced patient- focused approach offering Invisalign, cosmetic, restorative, endodontic, periodontic, and implant dentistry to his patients. Speaking fluent Spanish, Greek, and Italian, has allowed him to serve Chicago’s diverse communities with ease.
Recognized as an Invisalign Platinum Provider, Dr. Panomitros ranks among the top 1% of Invisalign providers in North America, demonstrating extensive experience in clear aligner orthodontic treatment. He has also been a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantology (ICOI) since 1996, reflecting advanced expertise in dental implants and implant-supported restorations.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Panomitros is deeply involved in dental education and leadership. He currently serves as a Professor at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in the Department of Surgery, and taught at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry, where he served as a professor in both the Department of Orthodontics and the Department of Restorative Dentistry.
Dr. Panomitros has played an important role in regulating and advancing dentistry in Illinois. He served as Vice Chairman of the Illinois State Dental Licensing Board and is a Dental Board Examiner, helping ensure high professional standards are maintained for dentists across the United States.
In addition to dentistry, Dr. Panomitros is a practicing attorney and previously served as an Illinois Administrative Law Judge. He primarily protects patients and medical professionals who require legal assistance in solving complex legal matters involving medicine or dentistry. His multidisciplinary background reflects a deep commitment to leadership, ethics, and patient advocacy.
His professional memberships include the American Dental Association (ADA), Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, and the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, serves as a Director of the Illinois Children’s Healthcare Foundation, and is on the Board of Directors for The American College of Legal Medicine.
Outside of the office, Dr. Nick enjoys spending time and doing activities with his four children. He loves yoga and fitness, learning about new cultures, listening to live music, and trying new foods. In his free time, you can find Dr. Nick at the dog park with his miniature poodle, Martini, or traveling to new places!
