Dr. Michael Carrera (Endodontist)

Eleni I. (Registered Dental Hygienist)

Eleni Iliou studied at Indiana University Northwest and graduated in May of 2024 with a Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene. She is licensed to practice in the state of Illinois and Indiana. She currently resides in Indiana and commutes to our Pilsen Office.

Prior to practicing dental hygiene, Eleni studied dental assisting for 2 years. She worked as a dental assistant for five years and even took on the role as a front desk receptionist. Having worked various positions in the dental office, these experiences provided her with a strong understanding of the importance each role plays on the success and efficiency of the dental office.

Eleni is committed to providing personalized care tailored specifically to each individual patient’s needs while also educating them on the importance of oral hygiene and its role in systemic health. Eleni strives to provide patients with patient centered care and support to ensure patients feel accepted, reassured, and confident in the dental health care they receive.

Beyond Dentistry, Eleni enjoys immersing herself in the rich culture of Chicago with her poodle Miklo.

Alex E. (Registered Dental Hygienist)

Alex graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2015 (BSDH) and has been providing quality dental hygiene care at our office ever since. She strives to make your dental visit a pleasant one, while being very gentle and thorough. She has ample experience with children, adults, and persons with special needs. Alex carefully customizes dental hygiene care for each individual patient, since each patient is unique and so are their dental needs. She also specializes in the prevention and management of gum disease and patient education.

She takes education very seriously and is a part of the Seattle (Hygiene) Study Club taking at least 1 continuing education course each month. Alex also hopes to finish her MBA in Health Care Management in the near future.

When Alex is not providing dental hygiene care, you can find her volunteering. She has volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and has traveled internationally to volunteer and provide dental hygiene care to children in Puebla, Mexico. Alex is also fluent in Spanish, which came in very handy on this particular trip. When Alex is not volunteering, you can find her relaxing at home with her 2 cats, Holly Berry and Lilah or at O’Hare airport boarding her next plane for her next vacation as she is an avid traveler.
